Free Parents Family Taekwondo Class
Taught by Coach Polly Williamson
If you have children in the regular programs at Quantum, you may attend with your child, a free family Taekwondo class on Monday evenings at 6:00. This class starts Monday January 6th.
This is a great opportunity to train with your family. Taekwondo basics of forms, sparring and self-defense will be covered.
The Taekwondo Essentials and Fitness (TEAF) class is a great opportunity for USU students to get involved in martial arts. My goal with this class is for everyone, of all ability levels, to get a great workout, and develop their self defense skills. Mondays at 7:45 a.m. we will be starting the week strong with a lot of kicking drills and exercise. Wednesday we’ll be back at the gym during the same time getting some exercise and focusing on practical self defense techniques. On Friday we'll be covering everything that we went over during the Monday and Wednesday classes, getting in another workout. Friday classes will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, wrapping up the week strong and giving those who didn’t get a chance to come Monday or Wednesday a chance to not miss out on anything.
I started training in martial arts over 10 years ago, when I was in middle school. Over the years I have become more confident, physically fit, and better able to focus because of martial arts. Above all of that, I have built friendships that will last for my entire life. I believe the benefits of Taekwondo can be especially strong for college students. That’s why I made the TEAF class, as a special class for students at USU. I wanted to make a welcoming environment for anyone to come and have an awesome experience. You'll get up to 4 hours a week of the best Taekwondo training you can get in Cache Valley. Come check it out, first two workouts are free, with no obligation. I look forward to getting to know you, and helping your fitness, and self defense goals.
